Stop-start series
Nowadays, 90% of cars are manufactured with Start-Stop systems to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emission by turning off riding engines. Supporting Start-Stop systems is just one of the required battery functions new cars require, as they are being equipped with an increasing number of power-hungry luxury features, including navigation systems, multimedia displays, WI-FI and smartphone interfaces. Monbats AGM range has been designed with these features in mind.
The AGM range is recommended for Hybrid cars with start-stop systems. They are ideal batteries for heavy urban driving and cars with advanced equipment such as regenerative braking. They also cope well with extreme temperatures.
Monbat has three further ranges that cover most, if not all, of the modern vehicles on the market. We always recommend replacing your car battery to one with the same specifications, or higher. For example, if you have a standard lead acid battery from our Dynamic range, you can upgrade to an EFB or AGM battery. If you have an EFB battery, you can upgrade to an AGM battery. We never recommend downgrading as this can cause problems with the car and your manufacturing warranty would be voided.

EFB batteries are designed for stop-start vehicles with standard equipment, as these engines work at a partial state of charge and do not need deep cycling like AGM batteries.
